Grade7: French quiz on school words and numbers will be next Tuesday October 5. All students should have sheets.

Grade7: English test will be on Wed Ocotober 6. Study terms to date and be able to complete an ad and answer questions as per Traps and Posion. You will have a different article to read but you want to remember things like how to begin an answer to a question:

Please note I am off today and tomorrow due to illness. As a result I am postponing the french quiz until next week and will let the gr 7 classes know the specific date on Thursday.

English: Study questions and answers to Traps and Poisons and Jaws and sept terms to date for a test next Tues or Wed.


Grade 9: I will be marking your demand pieces. Please note that these are marked as in- class assignments. Some of you did not write enough to pass such an assignment. Remember that for next time. tomorrow, you will be reading a short story Lambs to the Slaughter. Whatever you do not finish on the irony sheet is for homework.

Grade 7 English: I will give students part of next class to finish their ads but we will be moving on to look at short stories next week. A review of Sept learning concepts and terms to study for a short assessment/test will go home next week. Iexpect this test to be on Tues Oct. 5th. Students will have similar questions as we have had so far on a different piece of information text and a terms section. They can study what they have done so far. Great Ads guys now think what we have learned about answering questions and the important parts of a good AD.

Grade 7 French: Next week we will have an oral/written review quiz on their school words and numbers to 100. Students should be able to write the date independently as well as their personality type. See page 3 of your livre. Most of you are doing much more than that already so just review. You seem a bit rusty on your numbers watch those!

Grade 9 English. We will peer edit and work on word choice for your newspaper articles on Monday Sept 27th. Good Copies must be in on Thurs Sept 30th.  All World Series charts should be in. We will start advertising next week!

Grade7 English. Hoping our ads are finished for tomorrow. Most students got their poem marks back. The bell rang during the 7-2 class so those that left to get their bus will get it tomorrow.

Grade 9 English: Newspaper article will be due Tuesday Sept 28th. Follow the rubric!!

French 7: Students should have school multiple choice sheet and page six of their cahier completed. We have had some sickness so students need to check.


English 7: All shark shield questions except number 3 should be complete. We are working through number 3 today and tomorrow. All students or student groups should have their plan done for tomorrow. Poems are graded and will be returned tomorrow. I saw some excellent work here from some students!


English 9> I need all group charts for next class which is Thurs pm.

Grade 7 English: All students should be finished all Jaws questions by Wed of this week. Most students are finished but we had a few sick today, so Wed I will check your answers if I did not do so today. Question 3 is an in- class project and it is not for homework. (that is #3 in constructed response.)

Grade 9 English: Newspaper playpen questions: the chart is due in for marking on Wed. Make sure to follow directions.Your newspaper article will be due Friday or Monday. I will decide that tomorrow.

Grade 7 English: no homework will be starting our Shark Shield Assignment next class, start brainstorrming ideas for a good ad and slogan.

Grade 9 English: You should make sure your baseball chart is done. You should have a decent list minimum 3 facts for each! If not you will have to complete Monday's in class assignment alone as you will have no info to share with the group.

All grade 7's Don'r forget about your spider poem. It is due in tomorrow Fri Sept 17th

Homework Sept 15

French. 7-1, 7-2 We are working well rebuilding vocab no homework thus far.

English 7-1,7-2. Your poetry assignment will be due Friday Sept 17th (both groups.) Check your poetry and illustration rubric to make sure you cover all your bases. Most of you have had at least 2 hours of class time to work on this so this should be no problem. See me tomorrow if you need white paper. I will be here lunch time tomorrow if you still need help.

English 9-2. Finish What is News to be passed in tomorrow Sept 16th! Illustrations must be colored or well shaded!!!!
