2 weeks to go. Gr 7-2 your demand pieces (a story about being an outsider) are due Wed with your self evaluation form and good copy. Your story must be 1 or 2 pages long. (June 1) gr. 7-1: You will have yours finished in class tomorrow if not it must be in Wed June 1 as well.


gr 9: We will be working on demand writing and information text this week! Terms test tomorrow and Friday. Test is on pages 6-9 May 31

Grade 7 students will have an in class evaluation tomorrow. They will be analyzing a poem as we have practiced in class. Look over your terms and poems. The short story you are writing can be passed in May 31 which is next Tuesday. I will be marking novel studies all weekend!

Exam review: We will be reviewing story analysis next week. I will give you out another copy of the terms sheet for short stories if you lost the first one then. Keep studying poetry. And you will be writing on your exam minimum 3 paragraphs.

French : study er, ir , re verbs assignment on environment will be assigned late this week early next week

Grade 9 : Study terms

All grade 7's should have questions to Salt Water Joys completed. The story attached on being an outsider will be worked on tomorrow.

Grade 9: Terms test tomorrow. You will also have time to work on your novel study. If not other work will be provided. Saltwater joys can be worked on in class tomorrow. Moose Hide gloves and Saltwater joys will be corrected next Tues.


All novel studies are due next Tues May 24th. (Tic Tac Toe)

7-1 and 7-2 poetry test is moved toWed May 25. The 7-1 class is behind 7-2 and is not quite prepared yet.

Novel studies due May 24.

grade 7 -2 class got their poetry terms test today except for those that were absent last week. They will get it back Wed. I am in Gander tomorrow. 7-1 will get it backWed. They will have another in class assessment Thurs where they will have to answer questions on a poem.Students can prepare for this by looking over their folders.

grade 9; Study terms for FRIDAY A-F. Demand piece should be in at the endof tomorrow's class.

Grade7: 7-1 Word/simile collage "my life is like....." is due Wednesday May 11th.
7-2 class can pass in collage on Friday as you are a few classes behind the 7-1s. Remember make it colourful and unique. Use different fonts, shapes etc....

Grade 7: poetry terms test May13th, word collage on "my life is like" is due Wed May 11.

Grade 7 English: Term Test in poetry next Friday May13. Your portfolio should be finished to the end of Jetliner questions for Friday May 6th and your word collage (similes) should be finished for Tuesday May 10th.


Grade 9 English: Pass in story on MOnday May 9th (From 1908-2008). Romeo and Juliettest is next Tuesday. There will be a theme essay on it.

English 7: Poetry folder should have previous listings plus answers to questions on the poem in Homegrown and RIchard Corey. Jetliner questions will come tomorrow. There should be 7 pieces in the folder. And I will collect them Friday to grade.

Grade 9 Study terms to the end of D.Romeo and Juliet test is May 10th.
