Grade 7: Make sure White Elephant and the Mummy questions are in for Monday June 4.
Study story terms for Monday. Study and finish french review. If you can find Pricilla in the pond bring it in.

Grade 9: Study today's terms. Finish Outsider story for Monday and Year in Review for Wednesday. Bring Moosehide gloves to next class.

Grade 7: Exam study package for Grade 7 English was passed out today. Exam package for French will be given out tomorrow. The Exam schedule was also passed out today. Please note the French Exam will be given June 7th during a normal classroom slot.

Grade 7 poetry terms test on Friday May 11th. Study terms sheets and practice sheets. Also make sure Jetliner questions are done and City poem questions are done for Wed  May 9.

Grade 7: In class french assignment on Monday April 30th. Study poetry terms

Grade 9: Theme essay is due on Friday. There will be no more class time as 3 full periods is plenty. Tomorrow we will review next set of terms for test next Tues.

Grade 7: Study terms for English and French notes for in class assignment. The french in class assignment is moved to next Monday April 30th. It is imperative that you study if you are going to be clear on what to do with your June exams.

Grade 9. Don't forget novel study Forbidden City due April 30th. I will hand back your independent novel study on WED. of this week. Also study terms for next week's term test (the next 3 pages to the term hypertext). When you are working on your Forbidden City project keep the rubric in mind!


Grade 7: Study your French notes for in class assignment this Friday. They are the notes with PARLE on top. You should also review the practice you completed in your exercise. For English I have all but 3 novel studies passed in! They will look great when we get them on display. Start studying your poetry terms which 7-2 got today. 7-1 you will get them tomorrow.

Grade 9: Don't forget vocab quiz on Monday April 22. Also your Forbidden City project is due April 30th. A project should be done overtime get started. Monday will be your 3rd and final class to work on your theme essay. It will be due Wednesday of next week.


Grade 7: We are done with our novel project. Make sure you have exercise books for English and French as well as texts for all classes in the future!

Grade 9 Quiz on first 3 pages of terms will be Monday APRIL 23. Rough draft of theme essay should be ready for Monday as well.

GRADE 7: TEMPLATES FINISHED BY THURSDAY. WE WILL BE PUTTING THE NOVEL STUDIES TOGETHER ON THAT DAY. I WILL BE STAYING WED AFTER SCHOOL IF ANYONE NEEDS TO STAY BEHIND. IF NOT TAKE IT HOME AND FINISH. IT IS TIME TO MOVE ON!!!!!!!

Grade 7: Get your assignments in ASAP. Character sketches, maps....some of you are very late with these. Also journal entry is due in good copy (blue/black ink with title page) April 5th. (thursday)

Grade 7-2 French. First 3 pages of today's booklet. puzzle, world map and first verb page.


Grade 9: Democracy posters due tomorrow. Book Reports Thursday or first day back after Easter and Forbidden City Assignment April 30. Comprehension test on Thursday on Forbidden City questions. I made up a separate test on the questions our class did. Make sure you can define simile, metaphor, symbol, personification and situational irony.

Grade 9: Forbidden City theme, conflict and point of view done for Monday...properly on conflict use DSSC. Novel study due next Thursday April 5 (few extra days). Look at the rubrics....they will be marked accordingly. All work needs to be of excellent quality.

Grade7 : Moving to last template on Monday. If you are not done....MOTOR please. Also map of Canada "en francais" is due Monday April 2...BE NEAT.

Grade 7: 11 templates should be done for Thursday. You have had lots of time, many are finished. If you are not you need to do some work at home (Thursday 29th) Remember this is a major assignment weighted mark wise like a unit test. Don't fall behind.

Grade 7 English: With the help of another teacher we have met with 1/2 of the students regarding their lit circles for English. By tomorrow I will have seen everyone. If I have a concern I will email or call to let you know what they need to work on to get ready for the novel study next week.

As well it is important to remember that work needs to be neat, thorough and of your best quality. Also I am assigning homework and for some students I am not getting back the detailed work I expect.

French 7:Study vocab words every night. Get test signed for Monday.

Grade 7: I did not pass out french tests today. I did not have both classes so will wait until tomorrow.
In English, students are working through comprehension questions while I look over their lit circles. On Monday they need to have the lit circles completed and all questions done so they can start novel study project.

All grade 7's should have all their work done for lit circles and chapter questions for Monday March 5th!. We will be starting our novel project then.

grade 9's finish all questions to the end of  May 5th.

Students will get their French tests back tomorrow.

Grade 7: Expect a french quiz on your unit vocab this week: pizza words, recipe words, restaurant words.The quiz will most likely be Thurs or Fri with a test to follow Tues of next week (Feb 21)

Grade 7-2 Don't forget to organize to bring in the food for Friday!
Grade 9: Your 2 lit circles should be passed in for grading. I do not have them all, especially the one on the story "Once Upon a Time." Your "Gore" assignment will be due Wed morning (Feb 15) that should be plenty of time given the class time you have received.

Grade 7 Finish Lit circles on Harriet Tubman. French food presentations (bring in food) will be Friday Feb 17th for both groups. You should make sure you are able to read your part in French.

Grade 7: Study French oral questions for Monday. I quized 7-1 today and many of them need to practice. I had too many out in 7-2 this afternoon to do the same. Students will be tested (orally ) Monday.

Grade 9: A few students have lit circles to finish. All students need to choose a courageous person they know to write about....someone they can connect to.

Grade 9: Start thinking about a courageous person you could write your thoughts and feelings about in a demand piece of writing next week. In class Lit circle should be finished in class tomorrow.

English and French 7. Sorry about the quiz I did not expect to be out this morning as well. I will clarify everything tomorrow. I am thinking the french vocab quiz will go ahead on Thursday. On that day I will ask students the questions from the sheet in Les Menus Quel est ton restaurant prefere etc....

English Independent review will be completed in tomorrow's class. Test will go ahead next Monday Jan 30th. Students should have all the handouts they require!

English 7-1 Questions on Virtual weather, p.63. We start an in class assignment tomorrow and next week we will have a take home assignment to prepare for a test . The test will be in approximately 2 weeks. You can start reviewing your answer formats for theme, conflict, simile, metaphor, inferences, setting, DSSC, plot outline etc... Remember you will be getting a report card in February.
