English 7-There seems to be a problem with students reading and using this blog.I received less than half of the English assignments due in today. It was disappointing given the effort made by myself and the instructional resource teachers wo worked with students many on an individual basis over several classes. If students don't get it in tomorrow it will reflect poorly on their report card marks.I think several students are having difficulty developing organizational skills and good study habits. Please work with your child as best you can to get them back on track!!!!!

Also the 7-2 class has a bit of classwork to finish up. (plot line organiser)

French 7- We are pretty good here only a few students are missing their final projects.

-To all those Gr 7 students who are working to keep on top of things, keep it up and thanks for your stories. Many of them are impressive. As well to those who are working to respect class, teacher and self keep it up I think it is important that we all learn to work together regardless of our differences. It will make for a better year and a better time at LBA.

Grade 9: We are doing good for the most part I am getting the work in. I will be giving out terms sheets tomorrow. We are currently watching the movie Hotel Rwanda as we work through this thematic unit on courage and standing up. We will be having a test soon. Students will have to be comfortable with visual terms, parts of a short story including irony, newspaper article and friendly letter format, journal writing using voice and emotion and proper format for stating the answers to questions. We also covered components of a proper ad and making text to text, self and world connections.
